COMPUTER-ASSISTED MARKETING
New Customers for Retailers
By "retailer" is meant any business whose customers are nearby residents - not just shops with a traditonal store-front. Yours might be a private school, car workshop, health club, insurance agency, supermarket, dry cleaner, liquor merchant, hardware store... almost anyone who hangs out a shingle.
The lifeblood of any such business is a steady supply of fresh, regular clients. Why? - because every month, existing customers move away. If they are not replaced, the existing base of regular clients will shrink.
Normally, departing residents and customers will be replaced by incoming, new ones; the newcomers will scan the Yellow Pages and some will select your store and not some other. With a bit of luck, you'll break even.
We can enable you to depend on more than "luck" - to trust rather to some positive, direct advertising to these new residents. By doing so, they'll be more likely than otherwise to select you;
you get more than your "share" and so gain more than you lose.Over time, that modest monthly gain substantially grows the size of your clientele. On realistic assumptions, it could double its size over five or six years.
Here's how we help: each month, we tell you who's new. We supply by e-mail the names and addresses of almost everyone who recently arrived in the geographic area you serve. You would then mail out an invitation to these newcomers to become your clients.
The design of the mailer you send them is critically important. It need not be expensive, but it must be persuasive. As well as explaining why you offer the best shop of your kind in Town, you may well want to offer a "freebie", or special, to help persuade the newcomer to give you a try. It's worth it.
It's worth it because the lifetime value of a new client is, as you know, very substantial. The more you have, the more your business is worth, should you have need to sell it. So you can afford to be generous on this first contact.
We serve customers in many different fields - retailers, churches, professionals - and we have some general purpose pages here that give full information about our service including prices, and from which you can contact us for a Free Custom Proposal.
